Miles Overview
The 4 Series is BMW's compact luxury coupe, convertible, and Gran Coupe, the two-door and four-door-coupe take on the Audi A5 and Mercedes C-Class coupe. It's a car that rewards a spirited drive, with crisp steering and a chassis that feels balanced and eager through corners. The ride is firm but controlled, so you'll feel the road, but it stays composed on long trips. Inside, the cabin is well-built with quality materials, and the Gran Coupe's hatchback adds real practicality to the sleek roofline. The 440i Gran Coupe steps up from the 430i's four-cylinder to a six-cylinder engine, and it adds the hatchback practicality the coupe body doesn't have. Its 3.0L I6 makes 320 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque, routed through the eight-speed automatic to rear-wheel drive, and it'll hit 60 mph in the low five-second range. The Gran Coupe's rear hatch opens to a cargo area that's far more useful than the coupe's trunk, and the back seat actually fits two adults.
