Miles Overview
The 4 Series is BMW's mid-size coupe, convertible, and Gran Coupe, the two-door and four-door coupe-style variants of the 3 Series. It drives with the sharp steering and balanced chassis BMW is known for, making it engaging on twisty roads. The ride is firm but controlled, a trade-off for the athletic handling, and the seats are supportive for long trips. The Gran Coupe adds a hatchback for more cargo space, while the coupe and convertible prioritize style over utility. A power-folding soft top and the more powerful 2.0L I4 set the 428i apart from the 428i coupe and Gran Coupe below it. The 2.0L I4 makes 240 horsepower and 255 lb-ft of torque, routed through a smooth eight-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and returns 27 mpg combined. This convertible's multi-layer soft top operates at speeds up to 11 mph and includes a glass rear window with defroster.
