Miles Overview
The 4 Series is BMW's compact luxury coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe, the sportier sibling to the 3 Series sedan. It's the kind of car that makes you take the long way home, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels eager through corners. The cabin is driver-focused and well-built, though rear seats are snug in the coupe and convertible, so plan for occasional passengers. The Gran Coupe's hatchback opens wide, giving it far more cargo room than the coupe or convertible for everyday hauling. If you want year-round traction without stepping up to the 435i, this 428i xDrive gives you all-wheel drive with the more fuel-efficient four-cylinder. Its 2.0L I4 makes 241 horsepower and works with the eight-speed automatic to deliver a smooth, responsive drive that still returns 26 mpg combined. The xDrive system sends power to all four wheels, so you get confident grip in rain or snow without sacrificing the coupe's planted feel on dry pavement.
