Miles Overview
The 2025 BMW 2 Series is the brand's compact sports coupe and four-door Gran Coupe, slotting below the 3 Series. It goes up against the Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz CLA, and the Toyota GR Supra for buyers who want a small, sporty premium car. The 2 Series is a driver's car, with quick steering, a balanced chassis, and strong brakes that make it genuinely fun on a back road. The ride is firm, especially on the M240i, but that tautness is the price of its sharp handling. Inside, the 2 Series offers a clean, driver-focused cabin with supportive seats and a straightforward iDrive system. A firmer suspension and the more powerful engine distinguish the M235 xDrive Gran Coupe from the 228 xDrive Gran Coupe below it. Its 2.0L I4 makes 312 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, routed through a seven-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, and it returns 27 mpg combined. The M235i Gran Coupe's xDrive system prioritizes rear-wheel bias for a sportier feel, but the ride is noticeably stiffer than the standard 2 Series.
