Miles Overview
The 7 Series is BMW's flagship sedan, the one that goes up against the Mercedes S-Class and Audi A8. It's a big car that shrinks around you on a twisty road, with steering that's precise and a ride that's more controlled than floaty. The cabin is a tech showcase, with a curved display, available rear-seat theater screen, and crystal-like interior trim. You get a proper sedan trunk, and the back seat is genuinely spacious for adults. The 740i xDrive gives you the same smooth inline-six as the base 740i but adds all-weather grip for snowy or wet roads. Its 3.0L I6 makes 375 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, routed through a eight-speed automatic to all-wheel drive, and returns 27 mpg combined.
