Miles Overview
The 2 Series is BMW's entry-level coupe and convertible, and the Gran Coupe is the four-door version of the same idea. It's the most playful BMW you can buy, with sharp steering and a rear-drive feel that makes it genuinely fun on a back road. The cabin is snug but well built, and the coupe's back seat is best for kids or small adults. The infotainment is easy to use, and you get a digital gauge cluster and Apple CarPlay on most trims. The 230i is the convertible for someone who wants open-air driving without the M240i's power or price, and it's lighter on its feet than the xDrive version. Its 2.0L I4 makes 248 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, routed through the eight-speed automatic to the rear-wheel drive, and it returns 27 mpg combined. The convertible's power soft top operates at speeds up to 30 mph, so you can drop it without pulling over.
