Miles Overview
The 2 Series is BMW's compact two-door, offered as a coupe or convertible, and it's the smallest rear-drive-based car in the lineup. It's a sharp little driver's car, with quick steering and a balanced chassis that makes it feel playful on a back road. The ride is on the firm side, especially with the M Sport suspension, but that's the trade for how flat it stays in corners. Inside, the cabin is snug but well put together, and the back seats are best left for short trips or extra cargo. Its 2.0L I4 makes 248 horsepower and pairs with the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which gives you confident traction in rain or snow without adding much weight over the rear-drive version. The convertible body style means you lose some trunk space and add a bit of cowl shake, but on a sunny day the open-air experience is hard to beat.
