Miles Overview
The 2 Series is BMW's compact two-door, offered as a coupe or convertible, and it's the smallest rear-drive-based car in the lineup. It's a sharp little driver's car, with quick steering and a balanced chassis that makes it feel playful on a back road. The ride is on the firm side, especially with the M Sport suspension, but that's the trade for how flat it stays in corners. Inside, the cabin is snug but well put together, and the back seats are best left for short trips or extra cargo. Stepping up to the M240i xDrive from the 230i brings a much stronger engine, standard xDrive all-wheel drive, and a sportier chassis tune that transforms the car's character. That 3.0L I6 makes 335 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, routed through a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive that gives you confident traction in any weather. The M240i xDrive returns 24 mpg combined, which is reasonable for the performance, and the standard M Sport suspension keeps body roll in check during aggressive cornering.
