The 2 Series is BMW's compact coupe and convertible, the entry point into the brand's rear-drive sports cars. It's the rare small BMW that still feels eager and tossable, with sharp steering and a balance that makes back roads fun. The cabin is snug but well built, with supportive seats and a clean layout; rear seats are tight, and the convertible's trunk is small. Standard tech includes a crisp iDrive screen, Bluetooth, and a rearview camera, with available navigation and driver aids. Its 3.0L I6 makes 320 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque, and with the eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive it'll hit 60 mph in about 4.6 seconds. The convertible body adds open-air fun, but expect the ride to be a bit firmer than the coupe's and the trunk to be tight.
