2016 BMW 2 Series 228i xDrive

The 2 Series is BMW's compact coupe and convertible, the smallest rear-drive car in the lineup for 2016. It's the kind of car that makes you take the long way home, with sharp steering and a balanced chassis. The cabin is snug but well laid out, with supportive seats and a clean dashboard that puts the driver first. The coupe's trunk is modest, and the convertible's is smaller still, so pack light for weekend trips. The 228i xDrive adds all-weather grip to the base 228i's formula, making it the one to pick if you see snow or wet roads regularly. Its 2.0L I4 makes 241 horsepower and pairs with the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which gives you confident traction in slippery conditions and a smooth, responsive feel on dry pavement.
