Miles Overview
The 2 Series is BMW's entry-level coupe and convertible, and the Gran Coupe is the four-door version of the same idea. It's the most playful BMW you can buy, with sharp steering and a rear-drive feel that makes it genuinely fun on a back road. The cabin is snug but well built, and the coupe's back seat is best for kids or small adults. The infotainment is easy to use, and you get a digital gauge cluster and Apple CarPlay on most trims. Stepping up to the M235i xDrive Gran Coupe from the 228i gets you a hotter engine and BMW's M-tuned chassis, plus the practicality of four doors. The 2.0L I4 makes 302 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, routed through an eight-speed automatic to all-wheel drive, so it launches hard and grips confidently in the wet. This Gran Coupe's all-wheel drive and quick-shifting eight-speed make it a year-round daily, and it still returns 26 mpg combined.
