Miles Overview
The A8 is Audi's full-size luxury sedan, the one that goes up against the S-Class and 7 Series. It drives with a composed, planted feel that makes its size disappear on the highway. The cabin is a genuinely luxurious place to spend time, with plush materials and a quiet, comfortable ride. Some owners mention the trunk is on the small side for a car this large, and a few report electrical gremlins. Moving up to the L 4.0T from the 3.0T swaps the V6 for a V8 that makes 420 horsepower and 444 lb-ft of torque, with the long-wheelbase body and full luxury appointments still included. The 4.0L I8 pairs with the eight-speed automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive, delivering effortless highway passing and a smooth, quiet cruise at 19 mpg combined.
