Miles Overview
The S8 is Audi's full-size luxury sedan turned into a serious performance machine, the one you'd cross-shop with a Mercedes-AMG S63 or a BMW M760i. Inside, you get a cabin that's genuinely luxurious, with heated seats and a heated steering wheel standard, though the trunk is on the small side for a car this size. A few owners have mentioned a cracked windshield and some electronic glitches, but the bigger gripe is that maintenance and replacement parts don't come cheap. If you want a full-size luxury sedan that handles like a sports car, the S8 is the one to pick over the A8; you give up some rear-seat quiet for sharper reflexes and a firmer ride. Its 4.0L I8 makes 520 horsepower and sends it through an automatic transmission to all-wheel drive, which means effortless highway passing and all-weather grip; expect 18 mpg combined in real-world driving.
