Miles Overview
The 2018 Audi Q5 is a compact luxury SUV that slots between the Q3 and Q7, competing with the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC. The Q5 feels balanced and responsive, with sharp steering and a composed ride that smooths out most bumps. Inside, the cabin is opulent and quiet, with supportive seats and a long list of standard tech features. Cargo space is tight behind the rear seats, but folding them opens up plenty of room for gear. Predicted reliability is below average, and owners report that repairs and maintenance can be pricey. The Premium Plus adds the big panoramic sunroof, keyless entry with hands-free tailgate, and heated front seats you'd pay extra for on the base Premium. Its 2.0L I4 makes 252 horsepower and pairs with a quick-shifting seven-speed automatic, sending power to all four wheels through Audi's quattro system. You get Audi side assist with rear cross-traffic alert and the parking sensors front and rear, making this the trim where the driver aids start to feel complete.
