Miles Overview
The SL is Mercedes' open-top grand tourer, a two-door convertible that blends luxury with genuine sports-car capability. It's quick and composed, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels planted even when you push it through a series of corners. The ride is firm but never harsh, and the cabin stays quiet with the top up, so it works for long trips as well as weekend drives. Inside, you get a modern digital cockpit and a 12.3-inch touchscreen, with enough room for two adults and a small trunk for luggage. The SL 43 is the rear-wheel-drive entry to the SL lineup, with a smaller engine than the SL 55 and SL 63 but still plenty of character. Its 2.0L I4 makes 375 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque through a nine-speed automatic, and it returns 22 mpg combined.
