Miles Overview
The S-Class is Mercedes' flagship luxury sedan, with coupe and convertible versions for those who want the same opulence in two doors. It wafts along in near silence, yet the AMG versions transform it into a serious performance machine when you want to hustle. Inside, the cabin is a masterclass in luxury, with massaging seats, ambient lighting, and rear seats that rival first-class airline pods. Expect premium fuel and maintenance costs that match its six-figure price tag, but the experience is hard to match elsewhere. Its biturbo 4.0L V8 makes 463 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, routed through a nine-speed automatic to the rear wheels, which gives it effortless highway passing and a quiet, relaxed cruise. The AIRMATIC air suspension soaks up bumps beautifully, and the cabin stays library-quiet even at 25 mpg highway on the highway.
