Miles Overview
The CLE-Class is Mercedes-Benz's new two-door, offered as a coupe or convertible, and it replaces the old C-Class and E-Class coupes. It's a comfortable grand tourer, with a smooth ride and plenty of grip, though the steering could use a bit more feel. Inside, you get a clean dashboard with a large touchscreen, and the front seats are supportive, but the rear seats are tight for adults. Running costs are typical for a German luxury car, so budget for premium fuel and higher maintenance bills. Stepping up to the CLE 450 adds the 3.0L I6 and AMG Line styling, a meaningful upgrade over the CLE 300's four-cylinder. The 3.0L I6 makes 375 horsepower and pairs with the nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, giving it effortless passing power on the highway. It returns 26 mpg combined for a six-cylinder convertible, which is respectable given the performance on tap.
