Miles Overview
The CLE-Class is Mercedes-Benz's mid-size two-door, offered as a coupe or convertible in a lineup that replaced the old C-Class and E-Class coupes. If you're also looking at a BMW 4 Series or an Audi A5, the CLE is the one with the more elegant cabin and a smoother ride. Every CLE feels planted and composed on the highway, and the steering is accurate enough that you'll enjoy a back road without it ever feeling nervous. The cabin is a genuinely nice place to spend time, with high-quality materials and a large touchscreen that runs Mercedes' latest MBUX software. The CLE 300 is the four-cylinder convertible in the lineup, with the CLE 450 and CLE 53 AMG offering six-cylinder power above it. Its 2.0L I4 makes 255 horsepower and uses a mild-hybrid assist to smooth the stop-start, and the all-wheel drive gives it all-weather confidence. The convertible top operates at speeds up to 31 mph, so you can drop it without planning ahead.
