Miles Overview
The CLE-Class is Mercedes-Benz's new two-door, offered as a coupe or convertible, and it replaces the old C-Class and E-Class coupes. It's a comfortable grand tourer, with a smooth ride and plenty of grip, though the steering could use a bit more feel. Inside, you get a clean dashboard with a large touchscreen, and the front seats are supportive, but the rear seats are tight for adults. Running costs are typical for a German luxury car, so budget for premium fuel and higher maintenance bills. The base CLE 300 sets itself apart from the CLE 450 with a more efficient four-cylinder engine and a lower starting price. Its 2.0L I4 makes 255 horsepower and uses a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for smooth starts, paired with nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Expect 26 mpg combined from this convertible, which is strong for a two-door luxury car.
