Miles Overview
The CLE-Class is Mercedes-Benz's new two-door, offered as a coupe or convertible, and it replaces the old C-Class and E-Class coupes. It's a comfortable grand tourer, with a smooth ride and plenty of grip, though the steering could use a bit more feel. Inside, you get a clean dashboard with a large touchscreen, and the front seats are supportive, but the rear seats are tight for adults. Running costs are typical for a German luxury car, so budget for premium fuel and higher maintenance bills. The CLE 450 gives you the smooth inline-six power the CLE 300 lacks, without the stiff ride and higher price of the CLE 53 AMG. Its 2.0L I6 makes 375 horsepower and pairs with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, so it feels effortless on the highway and sure-footed in the rain. The standard AMG Line exterior and sport suspension give it a sharper look and flatter cornering than the CLE 300, but the ride is firmer as a result.
