Miles Overview
The AMG GT is Mercedes-Benz's dedicated performance flagship, offered as both a coupe and a sedan for 2026. It lines up against the Porsche 911 and the BMW M8 as a grand tourer with serious track capability. The GT feels sharp and responsive, with precise steering and strong brakes that inspire confidence at speed. The ride is firm, especially in sport modes, but the adaptive suspension keeps it livable for daily use. Inside, the cabin is modern and driver-focused, with supportive seats and a clean digital display. The 53 is the middle ground in the AMG GT lineup, giving up the V8 of the 55 and 63 for a lighter nose and a lower price. Its 3.0L I6 with mild hybrid assist makes 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, paired to a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive that gets 21 mpg combined. The adaptive AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension lets you dial in comfort on the highway or firm it up for a back road, without the harshness of the fixed-rate setups on the 63.
