Miles Overview
The AMG GT is Mercedes' four-door grand coupe, a sportier take on the CLS with a hatchback rear. It's quick and eager, with a firm, planted feel that makes it more at home on a back road than a boulevard. Inside, the cabin is snug but richly appointed, and the hatch opens to a surprisingly usable cargo area. The dual screens and touchpad controller take some getting used to, but the tech is deep once you learn it. The AMG GT 53 splits the difference between the 43 and the more powerful models, giving you the mild-hybrid six-cylinder instead of a V8. Its 3.0L V6 makes 429 horsepower and pairs with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, good for 21 mpg combined. The EQ Boost mild-hybrid system smooths the stop-start cycle and adds a helpful shove of electric torque off the line.
