Miles Overview
The CLA is Mercedes' compact four-door coupe, a sleek sedan with a sloping roofline that stands apart from the boxier A-Class. If you're cross-shopping, the Audi A3 and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe are its main competitors, but the CLA leans more toward style than sport. The base CLA 250 is smooth and quiet, while the AMG versions sharpen up with quicker steering and a firmer, more planted feel. Inside, you get a modern twin-screen dash and a back seat that's snug for adults, so it's best for two plus occasional passengers. Its 2.0L I4 with mild-hybrid assist makes 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, and returns 28 mpg combined. This front-wheel-drive version rides on a comfort-tuned suspension, so it's softer over bumps than the AMG trims.
