Miles Overview
The CLS-Class is Mercedes' sleek four-door coupe, blending a coupe-like roofline with the practicality of a sedan. It's a car that feels more athletic than the E-Class it's based on, with a poised, confident drive that rewards a steady hand. Inside, the cabin is a mix of modern tech and upscale materials, though the sloping roof does cut into rear headroom a bit. Expect premium fuel and typical Mercedes maintenance costs, which run a bit higher than average for the class. Stepping up to the CLS 53 AMG brings AMG's hand-built 3.0L I6, a sport-tuned suspension, and the sharper response of the Speedshift transmission over the standard CLS 450. The 3.0L I6 makes 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, sent through a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which gives it a strong, linear pull from low revs and confident traction in any weather.
