Miles Overview
The CLS-Class is Mercedes' sleek four-door coupe, blending a coupe-like roofline with the practicality of a sedan. It's a car that feels more athletic than the E-Class it's based on, with a poised, confident drive that rewards a steady hand. Inside, the cabin is a mix of modern tech and upscale materials, though the sloping roof does cut into rear headroom a bit. Expect premium fuel and typical Mercedes maintenance costs, which run a bit higher than average for the class. The CLS 450 gives you the same sleek four-door coupe shape as the CLS 53, but with a more relaxed character and a lower starting price. Its 3.0L I6 makes 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, routed through a nine-speed automatic to the rear-wheel drive, and returns 26 mpg combined. The CLS 450 rides on standard steel springs, which is worth knowing if you're used to the air suspension available higher in the range.
