2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E 53 AMG

The E-Class is Mercedes' executive sedan, and for 2021 it also comes as a coupe, convertible, and wagon, so there's a body style for most tastes. It's a car that feels settled and composed at speed, with a calm, quiet demeanor that makes long highway trips effortless. The ride is smooth and well-damped, absorbing bumps without fuss, though the AMG versions trade some of that comfort for sharper responses. Inside, the cabin is roomy and beautifully put together, with supportive seats and plenty of space for adults in both rows. The E 53 AMG sits between the E 450 and the full E 63 S, giving you AMG tuning and a mild-hybrid inline-six without the V8's intensity or price. Its 3.0L I6 makes 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, routed through nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which means it launches hard and stays planted in corners. The convertible body style drops the roof but adds weight and cuts cargo to 9.5 cubic feet of cargo space, so you'll feel the trade-off in trunk space and rear-seat room.
