Miles Overview
The DB9 is Aston Martin's grand tourer, the car that revived the brand in the 2000s and the one most people picture when they think of a modern Aston. It's a proper grand tourer: smooth, effortless, and happiest eating up highway miles, with a chassis that feels composed and planted at speed. Inside, you get a cabin trimmed in hand-stitched leather and real metal, with snug 2+2 seating that's best treated as a two-seater for adults. The coupe and Volante convertible both offer a usable trunk for weekend bags, though the rear seats are really just extra storage space. The Volante is the convertible version of the DB9, trading the coupe's fixed roof for open-air driving without changing the V12 or the chassis tuning. A 5.9L V12 sends 336 horsepower to the rear wheels through a automatic transmission, giving the Volante effortless thrust that sounds fantastic with the top down. The power soft top stows in under 20 seconds, so you can drop it at a stoplight and enjoy the V12's full soundtrack without wind noise at highway speeds.
