Miles Overview
The Velar is Land Rover's mid-size luxury SUV, a sleeker, more style-focused take on the Discovery Sport. On the road it feels more like a grand tourer than a truck, with a smooth, quiet ride and precise steering. Inside, the cabin is minimalist and modern, with a pair of touchscreens controlling most functions and plenty of room for four. Cargo space is decent for the class, and the power tailgate makes loading easy. Stepping up from the P250 S gets you black exterior trim, upgraded front seats, and standard ambient lighting that dress up the Velar's already stylish look. The 2.0L I4 makes 247 horsepower, and with the eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive it feels smooth and responsive around town while returning 23 mpg combined.
