Miles Overview
The Velar is Land Rover's sleek mid-size SUV, the one that trades some of the brand's boxy utility for a coupe-like roofline. On the road, it feels more like a grand tourer than a traditional off-roader, with light steering and a calm, refined gait at highway speeds. Inside, the cabin is minimalist and modern, with dual touchscreens controlling most functions and plenty of room for four adults. Cargo space is decent for the class, and the hands-free power tailgate makes loading gear easy, though the sloping roofline cuts into rear headroom. Gloss-black exterior accents and a sportier front bumper set the R-Dynamic SE apart from the standard Velar, giving it a more aggressive look without going full HSE. Its 3.0L V6 makes 340 horsepower and pairs with a eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which gives it a smooth, effortless feel on the highway and confident traction in the wet. The R-Dynamic SE can be ordered with adaptive dampers, which tighten up body control without ruining the ride comfort on rough pavement.
