Miles Overview
The Velar is Land Rover's mid-size luxury SUV, the one that trades some off-road brawn for a sleeker, more road-focused look. On the road it feels more like a grand tourer than a traditional 4x4, with a smooth, confident gait that suits long highway miles. Inside, the cabin is minimal and modern, with a pair of touchscreens handling most controls and plenty of room for four adults. Running costs run high, as you'd expect from a premium Land Rover, with pricey maintenance and insurance to budget for. Its 3.0L I6 pairs with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, making this the Velar that feels quick enough for daily driving while returning 20 mpg combined.
