2022 Land Rover Discovery R-Dynamic S

The Discovery is Land Rover's family-oriented SUV, the one you cross-shop with the Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7 if you want three rows and real off-road chops. On the road it feels composed and planted, with a calm, steady gait that suits long hauls, and the air suspension soaks up bumps without float. Inside, the cabin is genuinely spacious: the third row fits adults better than most rivals, and the seats are comfortable for a full day of driving. The split tailgate is a neat touch, and with the rear rows folded you get a flat, generous cargo floor that's easy to load. Stepping up to the R-Dynamic S from the base Discovery adds the sportier R-Dynamic exterior styling, larger wheels, and a more aggressive front bumper design. Its 2.0L I4 makes 296 horsepower and pairs with the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which is enough for confident highway merging and light off-road work, though you'll feel the 4,865 pounds in quick corners. The R-Dynamic S can be optioned with the air suspension that gives you adjustable ride height and a noticeably plusher highway ride.
