Miles Overview
The 2025 Discovery slots between the Defender and Range Rover Sport, offering three-row family practicality with Land Rover's signature go-anywhere attitude. Its main rivals include the Volvo XC90, BMW X5, and Mercedes-Benz GLE, but none match its off-road pedigree. On pavement, the Discovery feels composed and quiet, with a commanding view of the road and a ride that absorbs most bumps without fuss. Inside, the cabin is genuinely versatile, with three rows of seating, a spacious cargo area, and clever storage throughout. The Dynamic SE splits the difference between the P300 and the Metropolitan Edition, adding a mild hybrid and more power without the top trim's extra luxury content. Its 3.0L I6 hybrid makes 355 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, routed through a eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, and returns 19 mpg combined. The mild hybrid system smooths stop-start events and adds a small torque boost off the line, a feature the P300 lacks.
