Miles Overview
The Discovery is Land Rover's family-oriented SUV, the one you cross-shop with the Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7 when you need three rows and real off-road chops. On the road it feels composed and confident, with a smooth ride that soaks up bumps while keeping body roll in check. Inside, you get a genuinely usable third row, and the seats fold flat into the floor for a wide, flat load area. The touchscreen infotainment is responsive, and the standard terrain response system makes off-road driving surprisingly approachable. The HSE Luxury sets itself apart from the HSE with upgraded leather, a larger touchscreen, and standard air suspension. Under the hood, the 3.0L V6 makes 340 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, paired with a eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. The air suspension on this trim can raise the body for serious off-road clearance, but it also adds a bit of complexity to the ride.
