Miles Overview
On pavement it feels agricultural, with a truck-like ride and vague steering, but off-road it's nearly unstoppable. The cabin is spartan and upright, with vinyl floors, simple gauges, and seats that prioritize durability over comfort. The Defender is the most basic Land Rover you can buy, trading every luxury for a no-nonsense off-road tool that's been largely unchanged for decades. A manual transmission and four-wheel drive are standard, giving you direct control and the traction to crawl over nearly any terrain.
