Miles Overview
This is Land Rover's compact luxury SUV, the one that trades a bit of size for the brand's go-anywhere attitude. On pavement it feels poised and secure, and the steering is light enough for easy city work. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how well it stays composed over broken pavement. You get a raised seating position and a flexible interior with available third-row seats for occasional use. The R-Dynamic S is the entry point to the Discovery Sport range, sitting below the SE and R-Dynamic SE and giving you the same powertrain with fewer luxury extras. Its 2.0L I4 makes 237 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive that handles light trails with ease; expect 20 mpg combined.
