2022 Land Rover Discovery Sport SE

The Discovery Sport is Land Rover's compact family SUV, the one you cross-shop with the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 when you want something a bit more rugged. It drives with a composed, planted feel on pavement, and its all-wheel-drive system gives you real confidence when the road turns to dirt or snow. Inside, you get a well-built cabin with a clean design, and the available third row makes it one of the few compact SUVs that can seat seven in a pinch. Some owners have noted the infotainment can be slow to respond, and the ride is on the firm side, which is the trade-off for its capable handling. Stepping up to the SE adds a power tailgate, a larger touchscreen, and heated front seats over the R-Dynamic S. The SE uses the same 2.0L I4 with 247 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, matched to a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Only the SE offers the available third-row seat, letting you carry up to seven when you need the extra space.
