Miles Overview
The Discovery Sport is Land Rover's compact family SUV, the model that brought the brand's off-road DNA to a more affordable, everyday size. On the road it feels composed and planted, with a commanding view out and a ride that soaks up most bumps without fuss. Inside, the cabin is well built and roomy for four, with a practical tailgate and folding seats that open up a generous cargo area. Standard tech includes a touchscreen infotainment system, and available driver aids like blind-spot monitoring and a surround-view camera make it easier to park. The SE is the entry to the Discovery Sport range, giving you the same 2.0L I4 and all-wheel drive as the pricier HSE and HSE Lux, but with cloth seats and a simpler audio system. Its 2.0L I4 makes 240 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic that shifts smoothly and keeps the 22 mpg combined rating respectable for an SUV with real off-road hardware. The SE can be ordered with a Cold Climate Package that adds heated seats and a heated windshield, which makes a real difference on winter mornings.
