2023 Land Rover Discovery Sport

The Discovery Sport is Land Rover's compact family SUV, the one you cross-shop with the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. On the road it feels planted and confident, with a light steering touch that makes it easy to pilot around town. The cabin is nicely finished with soft-touch materials, and there's room for five in reasonable comfort. Cargo space is modest for the class, so if you need maximum hauling room, a Discovery or a rival might suit better. The R-Dynamic S adds sporty exterior styling touches and a leather-wrapped steering wheel over the base model, but skips some of the SE's convenience features like a power liftgate. Its 2.0L I4 makes 247 horsepower and pairs with a nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which gives it confident all-weather traction and a composed, easygoing character on pavement. Expect fuel economy around 20 mpg combined, which is typical for a compact luxury SUV with this much standard off-road hardware underneath.
