Miles Overview
The 2024 Range Rover Sport is the more athletic member of the Range Rover family, blending luxury with a sportier edge than its larger sibling. It squares off against the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, and Porsche Cayenne, offering a unique mix of off-road ability and on-road polish. The Sport feels taut and responsive for its size, with sharp steering and a chassis that hides its bulk on twisty roads. The air suspension delivers a plush, controlled ride, though the largest wheels can transmit some harshness over sharp bumps. Inside, the cabin is a showcase of premium materials and modern tech, with comfortable seating for five and a practical cargo area. The P400 Dynamic SE gives up the Autobiography's plug-in hybrid powertrain and extra power, but it's the trim that balances performance and standard equipment without the price jump. Its 3.0L I6 hybrid makes 395 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, and the mild-hybrid system smooths the stop-start transitions while adding a useful torque fill at low speeds.
