Miles Overview
The XJ is Jaguar's flagship sedan, a full-size luxury car that competes with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class. It drives with a blend of effortless power and composed handling, though the rear-drive chassis struggles for grip in snow. The cabin surrounds you with rich wood and leather, and the gauges and controls are laid out like a cockpit. Service costs run higher than average, and the flimsy cupholders and aging electrical systems are common frustrations. The XJ is Jaguar's flagship sedan, and this base model gives you the same aluminum body and air suspension as the pricier Super V8, just with a smaller engine. Its 4.2L I8 makes 294 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, delivering smooth, quiet acceleration that feels effortless on the highway.
