Miles Overview
The XJ is Jaguar's full-size flagship sedan, aimed at buyers who want a British alternative to the German luxury limousines. It's a big car that shrinks around you on a back road, with sharp steering and a ride that stays composed at speed. Inside, the cabin is trimmed with real wood and leather, and the rear seats offer limousine-like legroom. The dual-screen infotainment setup is standard, though the system can be a bit slow to respond at times. The R-Sport adds sportier exterior styling and a more driver-focused interior over the standard XJ, while skipping the rear-seat upgrades of the L Portfolio. Its 3.0L V6 makes 340 horsepower and pairs with the eight-speed automatic to move the sedan with a smooth, linear pull that feels quicker than the numbers suggest. Fuel economy checks in at 21 mpg combined, and the R-Sport's standard adaptive dynamics system lets you firm up the dampers for more aggressive cornering.
