Miles Overview
The XJ is Jaguar's full-size luxury sedan, the one that competes with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes S-Class of its era. It rides like a proper luxury car, soaking up bumps with a calm that makes long trips effortless. Inside, you get a cockpit that wraps around you with burled walnut and leather, and the sound system rivals a good home setup. Owners note the sunroof can act up, but it's a known fix that most Jaguar specialists can handle quickly. The L is the entry-level XJ, giving you the same elegant body and smooth 4.0L as the pricier Vanden Plas but with a bit less wood trim and standard seats. Its 4.0L pairs with a automatic transmission for effortless cruising, and the rear-wheel drive keeps the ride composed on any road.
