Miles Overview
The 2020 Transit Connect is Ford's compact cargo van, the one you cross-shop with the Ram ProMaster City and the Nissan NV200. It drives more like a small car than a van, with light steering and a tight turning radius that make it easy to park in the city. The cabin is functional and roomy up front, with lots of cubbies and a tall roof that gives you plenty of headroom. The rear doors open wide and the low load floor makes it simple to slide heavy boxes in and out. Its 2.5L I4 makes 169 horsepower and pairs with a smooth eight-speed automatic, which helps it feel more responsive than the base engine around town. The XL's focus is on utility, so you get a durable vinyl floor and steel wheels, and the ride is firm when empty.
