Miles Overview
The 2022 Envision is Buick's compact crossover, slotting between the subcompact Encore GX and the three-row Enclave. It competes with the Acura RDX, Lincoln Corsair, and Lexus NX, offering a quieter, more relaxed take on the segment. The Envision accelerates smoothly and rides with the calm composure Buick is known for, though the steering is light and easygoing. Inside, the Envision offers a modern cabin with available leather, a large touchscreen, and comfortable seating for five. Leather seating, a power liftgate, and the larger infotainment screen set the Essence apart from the Preferred trim below it. A 2.0L I4 makes 230 horsepower and drives the front wheels through a nine-speed automatic, delivering a smooth, quiet 26 mpg combined. The Essence is the first trim where you can add ventilated front seats and a heated steering wheel, which make a real difference in colder months.
