2022 Buick Envision Preferred

The 2022 Envision is Buick's compact crossover, slotting between the subcompact Encore GX and the three-row Enclave. It competes with the Acura RDX, Lincoln Corsair, and Lexus NX, offering a quieter, more relaxed take on the segment. The Envision accelerates smoothly and rides with the calm composure Buick is known for, though the steering is light and easygoing. Inside, the Envision offers a modern cabin with available leather, a large touchscreen, and comfortable seating for five. The Preferred is the entry trim, with cloth-and-leatherette seats and a manual liftgate, but you get the same 2.0L I4 and 9-speed automatic as the pricier Essence and Avenir. Its 2.0L I4 makes 230 horsepower and pairs with a smooth nine-speed automatic, and front-wheel drive is standard while all-wheel drive is optional. All-wheel drive is optional on the Preferred, and the ride stays composed and quiet either way, with the same 5-link rear suspension as the rest of the lineup.
