2024 KIA Sorento EX

The 2024 Kia Sorento is a midsize SUV that seats up to seven, slotting between the compact Sportage and the larger Telluride in Kia's lineup. It competes with the Honda Pilot, Hyundai Santa Fe, and Toyota Highlander, though it offers a more car-like driving feel than most of those rivals. The Sorento handles with a light, eager character that makes it feel smaller than it is, and the steering is well-weighted for a family SUV. Inside, the cabin offers a clean, modern design with available quilted leather, a panoramic sunroof, and a third row that folds flat for extra cargo room. The EX is the trim to pick if you want the hybrid's fuel savings without stepping up to the SX Prestige, and it adds more standard equipment than the S. Its 1.6L I4 hybrid makes 227 horsepower and routes through a six-speed automatic to all-wheel drive, and you'll see 34 mpg combined in mixed driving. The EX hybrid comes only as a six-seater with second-row captain's chairs, so you give up the eight-passenger layout of the gas EX.
