Miles Overview
The Sportage is Kia's compact SUV, sized between the smaller Soul and the larger Sorento, and it competes with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. The Sportage feels nimble around town, with responsive steering and a firm suspension that keeps body roll in check. The cabin is roomy for five, with a spacious cargo area that swallows furniture or gear for weekend trips. Standard tech includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus available driver aids like blind spot monitoring. Its 2.4L I4 makes 181 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which is smooth and predictable rather than quick; expect 23 mpg combined with all-wheel drive. The EX is the trim where you can add leather upholstery and a power driver's seat, which the base LX doesn't offer at all.
