Miles Overview
The Sportage is Kia's compact SUV, sized between the smaller Soul and the larger Sorento, and it competes with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. The Sportage feels nimble around town, with responsive steering and a firm suspension that keeps body roll in check. The cabin is roomy for five, with a spacious cargo area that swallows furniture or gear for weekend trips. Standard tech includes a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus available driver aids like blind spot monitoring. The LX comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 5-inch touchscreen, and cloth seats with stain-resistant fabric, skipping the EX's larger screen and upgraded upholstery. Its 2.4L I4 makes 181 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, and with all-wheel drive it returns 22 mpg combined. Drive Mode Select lets you choose Normal, Sport, or Eco, which tweaks throttle response and shift points to match your mood.
