Miles Overview
The 2021 Sportage is Kia's compact SUV, slotting between the Seltos and the larger Sorento, and it competes with the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape. The Sportage rides smoothly and handles confidently, with light steering that makes it easy to maneuver in the city. Inside, the cabin is roomy for the class, with comfortable seats and a straightforward layout that puts controls within easy reach. Standard tech includes a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and available features add a panoramic sunroof and premium audio. The LX is the base trim, so you skip the EX's upgraded upholstery and the S's sporty touches, but you still get the same 2.4L engine and a long list of standard safety tech. Its 2.4L I4 makes 181 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic, which is smooth and predictable around town, and it returns 26 mpg combined. The LX comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and a Tire Mobility Kit instead of a spare tire, so you'll want to keep that in mind if you travel remote roads.
