Miles Overview
The Sportage is Kia's compact crossover, the one you'll cross-shop with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4. It steers crisply and feels smaller than it is, which makes it easy to park and fun on a back road. The ride is on the firm side, and cabin noise picks up at highway speeds, but the seats stay comfortable for long trips. Cargo space is a bit tight for the class, though the rear seats fold flat to stretch it out. The EX is the mid-level Sportage for buyers who want the LX's features plus push-button start and a power driver seat. The 2.4L I4 makes 182 horsepower and sends power through a six-speed automatic to all four wheels, with 22 mpg combined. Only the EX offers a panoramic sunroof as an option, which brightens the cabin noticeably.
